  Tuition fees and the high cost of living expenses may pose a problem for many students. If you are studying full time you may be unable to find work that will provide enough income to cover all your costs. There are several scholarship options available to you, listed in this section
 
Government Scholarships for Foreign Students

The Government of Israel offers scholarships to foreign students from certain countries with which Israel has cultural agreements. For a list of countries check Scholarships offered by the Israeli government to foreign students. The scholarships are available only to students that are citizens of these countries.
Two types of scholarships are offered:
 Summer language courses (Ulpan)
 One academic year, or Research scholarships

Basic Requirements
There are a number of basic requirements that applicants must meet in order to be eligible for scholarships:
 Possession of a BA or BSc degree (or higher) and a good record of academic achievement.
 The applicant must be a citizen of the country where he/she applies for the scholarship and under the age of 35.
 Proof of English or Hebrew language knowledge.
 The applicant should meet the academic requirements of the Israeli University that he/she applies to. Scholarships are approved only after the candidate has been accepted to an Israeli University. The terms and conditions of the scholarship change every year according to the yearly budget. How to apply
In order to apply for the scholarship you must fill out an application form which can be found in the following link: download application instructions and forms. In addition, you will need to provide letters, documents, transcripts, photos and certificates. For a complete list of necessary documents please check Scholarships offered by the Israeli government to foreign students. The date for the submission of application forms differs each country but is normally no later than December 15.

Additional Information
For any additional information about the application process, submission dates, and information specific to applicants from your country please contact your local Israeli embassy. The embassy will notify the candidate of his/her acceptance to the scholarship program.

The Lady Davis Fellowship Trust

The Lady Davis Fellowship Trust provides the opportunity for leading scientists and scholars, Post-doctoral Researchers and Doctoral Students from abroad, regardless of nationality, gender or field of scholarship to teach, study and participate in research in Israel at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and at the Technion Institute of Technology in Haifa. Hillel Leadership Scholarship Program

This scholarship is available to sophomores and juniors who are active in Jewish programming on American and Canadian campuses. Scholarships of up to $1,000 are available for 11 American and 4 Canadian students attending Hebrew University on the One Year Program. Five scholarships of $500 for a semester and $1,000 for the year are available for students attending Ben-Gurion University. In Israel, recipients participate in a creative leadership program of workshops, field trips, and individual projects and discussions.
