| Returning Home for Israel's 60th Year |

The Ministry for Immigrant Absorption has launched a new campaign, in honor of Israel’s 60th year, calling upon Israelis residing abroad to come home and enjoy unprecedented financial assistance and a range of special incentives. Israelis wishing to learn about the campaign can currently view the information in Hebrew, English and Russian.
In honor of Israel’s 60th year, the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption has launched the Returning Home for Israel’s 60th campaign aimed at encouraging Israeli citizens, who have been residing abroad over two years and who fit the Ministry’s returning residents criteria, to return to Israel. For the benefit of returning Israelis, the Ministry has published the information in Hebrew, English and Russian and is shortly expected to publish the information in French and Spanish.
Israelis choosing to return home will enjoy assistance in the following areas:
A refund of the special payment to the National Insurance Institute for health services according to the National Health Insurance Law;
Assistance and services to ease returning Israelis' absorption into the workforce, such as assistance with tuition fees, salary subsidies and refunds of license exam fees;
Assistance in setting up a business;
Assistance in the absorption of returning scientists and researchers;
Discounts on air fare;
Assistance to artists and athletes;
A variety of additional assistance and services.
Assistance will be given to returning Israelis who begin paying National Insurance fees starting November 1st, 2007 until December 30th, 2008 and who return to Israel from November 1st, 2007 until August 31st, 2009.
Joining the Campaign Israelis who fit the returning residents criteria can sign up for the campaign by filling out a special registration form (in Hebrew) in the Ministry’s website. Those interested in receiving employment assistance should attach an updated resume.
Special Hot Line for Questions and Advice A special information center has been set up in order to answer any questions or provide advice to Israelis needing assistance. Teams at the center are available to answer questions 24 hours a day at the following number: +972-3-973-3333.
